How you control your data

Unlike many social media & business platforms that sell access to your data to third parties like advertisers & recruiters, we keep your data private and help you control your relationships.

How data is shared between users.

Pounse is a closed off, private network and does not allow third party advertisers to use your data for targeted ads. It is also closed to talent managers (recruiters, hiring companies or career coaches) from sourcing & scraping profile data without a users knowledge or permission.

Talent Managers must be granted permission by users to view, collaborate on and share career profiles.

Candidates can opt-out of relationships which will disconnect them from a talent manager, but can always opt back in.

What data do we/you use

A career profile  (which is a digital resume) contains as much or as little personal data as you volunteer:

* name
* email address
* social media profile links (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
* work history
* your education
* skillsets.

Public vs Private Data

Public profiles are available to anyone who looks for your career profile. They can be shared directly with another person or broadcast on social media platforms.

Private profiles are not available publicly, cannot be broadcast socially, but can still be shared with specific audiences.

Toggling between a private and public profile changes the visibility permissions immediately.
